The Makery Club will be hosting the 3rd Annual Global Cardboard Arcade on Thursday, October 4th during lunch. All students are invited to participate by either building a game to add to the arcade or come by to check out and play the games that are available to play. Parents are also invited to come and play the games.
The Global Cardboard Challenge is an annual event that brings together teachers, parents and children in countries around the world to emphasize the importance of creativity and play. It also bring communities together to foster and celebrate child creativity.
The Challenge is inspired by the movie “Caine’s Arcade,” the story of a 9-year old boy, who used cardboard to build an elaborate play arcade in his father’s spare parts workshop.
